CALLISTO
Loosely based on Ovid’s Metamorphoses, CALLISTO takes three myths — the story of Creation, the story of Callisto, and the story of Echo and Narcissus — and views them through an abstract, deconstructed lens.
We explore spiralling into existence and the relationship between the individual and the collective; we chart a woman’s exile and the tragedy of unfulfilled love; and we negotiate the mercurial duality of our interior worlds.
In this way, CALLISTO explores how myth still speaks to us today. Are they narratives that we remain stuck in, or can we find new relationships with them?
