VHS ABSTRACTION

This R&D explored abstraction in time and space. By using stacked mirrrors VHS capture split the performers into seperate in and out of sync elements that displaced but also organised time and movement within an improvised environment and choreographic sequences. We also explored how analogue optical distortions might abstract movements into it’s broader gestures.
